It’s only right that I start this blog post with the song. So… “Soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur. Happy kitty, sleepy kitty purr, purr, purr. If you are thinking to yourself “what is this crazy lady talking about” I’m willing to bet you’ve never watched The Big Bang Theory. And if you were singing along then you’re gonna love the Bazinga set!
This sentiment couldn’t possibly be paired better than with the Purr Babies kitty in a box stamp. Amiright?! I wanted to keep this card really sweet and fun in case I wanted to give it to a cat lover who wasn’t also a Big Bang Theory lover. I decided to give the card front a bit of a patterned paper look by stamping the cat stamp in various orientations in Rose Petals ink by Catherine Pooler. I made sure to stamp some of the images off of the card stock margins so that it had a more organic look.
For the sentiment, err song…I blended Rose Petals ink onto a piece of white card stock and made sure to hit it with my heat tool to make sure it was completely dry. I did this so that I could emboss the sentiment onto the card stock without the embossing powder sticking to the blended ink. I trimmed the sentiment down and decided to adhere it with foam tape to the very center of the card front.
I love the colors of this card and how simple it is yet still hold a lot of interest with the way the cats are stamped. Thank you so much for stopping by today! I can not wait to see what you create with Bazinga! I’m a major fan and I know the Roadies won’t let me down! See you soon!
