Hello Everyone! Shi Ying (Shing) here bringing you something new and exciting to the ink road stamps blog! How is your winter coming along? Good? To get into the wintery mood, I used the ” Happy Holla Days” Stamp set and the “Fir Real” Stamp Set to create this wonderful pocket letter!
First, you’ll need:
- Happy Holla Days & Fir Real Stamp Sets
- Single hole puncher
- Glue, Sticky tape
- Inks and Coloring materials
- Embellishments (Stickers, die cuts, etc.)
- Pocket Letter Sleeves
- (Optional) Fuse Tool
- (Optional) Ribbons / Sequins / Threads/ Washi Tape
Firstly, I took some white cardstock and stamped the snowflakes from the Happy Holla Days Stamp Set to create a “wintery background” for the pocket letter. I think it was a great way of designing your backgrounds if you don’t have any wintery papers 🙂
Next, cut the background into a pocket letter size (3.5″ x 2.5″), and you’ll need 8 of them in this case (1 slot will be a shaker pocket). I started stamping the trees, Mr Santa and Sentiments on another piece of cardstock, cut them out and colour them in. I pulled in some stickers and embellishments from my stash to create a cutesy atmosphere. However, I feel that the stamp sets have sufficient number of words and sayings that I can include in this project as well !! ^^
Then, I traced the trees using a pen outline and layered them with more trees that I can find in my stash. The trees from the stamp set blend in so well with the others! 😀 Also, can you guess how many sentiments stamp set I’ve used in this pocket letter?
So after decorating, adding my sequins to the sequins pocket and adding extra elements to the top right corner of the pocket letter, everything is pretty much done!
So I hope you enjoyed reading this and be sure to try this out someday! Its pretty fun using stamps to incorporate with your embellishments into a pocket letter! Feel free to list down any questions below 🙂
Hope to see you again soon!
