Hello! Samantha here. Can you believe it? April! already – time is flying by! Ink Road Stamps have had some FABULOUS stamp releases this year – I specifically couldn’t wait to get me hands on this stamp set…Lit AF.
I love everything about this stamp – especially the doodle like candles, followed closely by the fun sentitments. I instantly knew what I wanted to make with this set and I do love it when an idea comes out exactly how you hoped it would.
Here is my card using Lit AF and a few of the recently released Ink Road Stamp Gems.
Card Instructions:
Step 1: On a white card front (measuring: 10.5cm x15.5cm) stamp the candles in black ink to the very top of the card.
Step 2: Add cut up strips of cardstock and pattern paper onto your card front and trim off any excess paper from the sides of your card front.
NOTE: Each strip varies in thickness, keep a few strips thick enough for the sentiment to fit.
Step 3: Stamp the sentiments.
Step 4: Using corrugated card and material add more interest to the card by layering thin strips on top to add more dimension and added interest.
Step 5: Machine stitch lines to attach material to card front.
Step 6: Embellish card front with Gems and a twine bow. Adhere card front to an A6 card base.
Though a lot of effort went into layering the paper on my card front, the card itself was easy to create. I had plans to colour the candles but after the card was completed there was so much colour in the paper that I liked how the black and white candles contrasted against it…
