Hi friends! It’s Mary back with another amaze-balls project…and guess what?! It’s my birthday!!! So of course, I had to create a birthday layout for myself…
…and of course I had to use the “Just a Number” stamp set.
I started this layout by using the balloons stamps in all three sizes to create a string of party lights. (Duh…of course I would have party lights for my own party.)
I use several different colors from stash of inks to match the colors in the new Maggie Holmes “Carousel” collection.
Why yes, that is hand stitching! Now normally I would say, “Why hand stitch when I have a machine that will do it for me…” but a machine just wasn’t going to do the light string justice this time.
Next I created a sort of “wall hanging” embellishment because what party is complete without a fun birthday wall decoration?!
Yes….I’m 36 today..and it’s TOTALLY like 29 only better because I am soooooo much more mature than I was when I was 29.
(those who know me well will know that last part was just to make myself sound my age.)
Next I added in some layering with bits of ephemera from the “Carousel” collection including this ticket that said “single child” on it… and I so am! Makes sense to use it right?!
I finished the layout with a little awning from a party tent on the top and some Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Mint and Gold
