Hey, Roadies! It’s Ashlea, and I’m super excited to share a bit of the NEW release with you! The Boo Crew set is decidedly perfect for Halloween but I know that not everyone created Halloween cards. With that in mind, I decided to create a cute not-so-halloween-y card using the ghost outline stamp and a few of the totally cute faces that give these ghosts such personality.
I used Twilight ink by Catherine Pooler to stamp a ghostly background pattern to my 4″ x 5 1/4″ card front. I was sure to stamp some of them off of the card stock to the pattern looked cohesive and as a part of a much larger pattern rather than confined to the parameters of the card front. After that, I chose a few of the faces and stamped them inside the ghosts with the same Twilight ink. At this point I wasn’t sure what my end game was, but I spotted the bow and thought “well, I have to use that”. So, I grabbed Party Dress ink, also by Catherine Pooler, and stamped the bow image on one of the ghosts. And all at once it hit me. This would be a great hello card for a girl friend! It’s perfect for this season but not necessarily ONLY for this season. I love when holiday stamp sets can be used all year round. Score!
For the sentiment I chose “hello” and “boo-tiful” which are separate stamps (great for sentiment building and customizing!). I first inked up only “boo” in Versamark ink and embossed it with WOW’s fluorescent pink embossing powder. I then inked up the remaining sentiment pieces and embossed it in white. I cut the sentiment out into a rectangle strip and adhered it with foam tape to the center of my card front. Finally, I adhered the card front to an A2 sized card base with Tombow Mono Multi glue.
I hope that you’ve enjoyed learning a little bit about my card making process for this card! Thank you so much for stopping by and I’ll see you soon, BOO-tiful!
