Sharing my final card for February today – I can’t believe we are at the end of February already! I used Mari Party to create this striking card, with a cameo from INKED. Honey for the sentiment stamp.
First of all, I mixed some purple ink into texture paste to colour it (the colour changes dramatically once it is mixed in, so I always use a darker colour to begin with!). Once the colour was evenly distributed throughout, I took my palette knife and applied it to my white cardstock through a mosaic stencil, making sure it covered around 2/3 of the background. Put this aside to dry completely.
Take the adorable present border stamp from Mari Party and stamp with black ink onto white cardstock. Heat emboss with clear embossing powder for added shine, before fussy cutting the image. Repeat with the Happy Birthday stamp. Adhere the sentiment onto black cardstock, leaving a slight border at the top and bottom.
Once the background is completely dry, line it up in a stamp positioning tool and align the sentiment from INKED. Honey at the bottom. Stamp with black ink and heat emboss with clear embossing powder.
Time to assemble the card! Adhere the presents onto the background piece with double sided tape. Foam mount the sentiment strip to the bottom of the presents, before adhering the card front onto black cardstock. Complete the card by adhering the whole piece onto a card base.
