Your Story Isn’t Over Yet, Friend

January 8, 2020

Hello lovelies!!  It’s Amanda Fitterer here sharing this heartfelt card with you today!

I used a combination of a few Ink Road products, including the Block Party Alpha Outline stamp set, the Semicolon stamp set, and the floral border from the Dayse Phrases stamp set.

The first thing I’m going to do is stamp all of my elements.  I’m using Memento Tuxedo Black ink because I will be coloring the images in with my Copic markers and this ink will not bleed with the use of alcohol markers.

I’m going to stamp the word “FRIEND” using letters from the Block Party Alpha Outline stamp set.    I’m also stamping my sentiments from the Semicolon stamp set.  And lastly, I’m stamping the floral borders from the Dayse Phrases stamp set.

Pro tip:  If you’re struggling with lining up your stamps, use a pencil eraser to move the stamps around instead of your fingers.  This is especially helpful with the letters in “FRIEND”.

I fussy cut my floral border and used a paper trimmer to trim “FRIEND” down.  Now, I’m coloring in my stamped images with my Copic markers using the colors below:

Reds:  RV14, RV25, RV29

Yellows:  Y000, Y00, Y02, Y06

Greens:  G20, G21, G43

I’m creating am ombre effect on my background using Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, and Carved Pumpkin distress oxides.

Using a black acrylic paint and a water brush, I’m flicking the paint onto my background.

I’m putting 3D foam adhesive on the back of all my images.

To line up the word “FRIEND” in the center, I’m using an L ruler to help out.

For the final step, I’m putting some Crystal Sunshine gems in a few places!

Here are some more photos of the final card!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Until next time…. XOXO, Amanda!
