I started with the LED component using the Chibitroncics Starter Kit and mapped out a basic circuit. I drew a circle on the base layer of the card and placed the LED sticker where I wanted the light bulb from Iconic to be. Using a ruler I added a negative and positive pencil line that the cooper tape would follow.
I created a holder for the battery that can be pressed by the recipient, lighting up the card. I carefully placed the cooper tape over my pencil lines, closed the holder and Eureka!
For the top layer of the card, I die cut an A2 sized rectangle with watercolor paper. For a little color I blended Wilted Violet Oxide Ink. I die cut a circle in the centre and added patter paper, using a tiny heart die I created a “window” for the LED light to shine through. I stamped the light bulb on velum paper and heat set with white embossing powder using Versamark Ink.
To finish off the card I added a circle frame in light grey, a tiny stitched heart “button” and clear sequins.
Thank you so much for stopping by!
