Hello! Samantha here sharing a card I created using Bella Flora stamp and coordinating dies. This layout has been in my head for months but I’ve always found colouring flowers challenging – what colours do I choose? What colouring medium should I use? Light Source? I decided that I wanted to keep it simple so…I chose Copic markers because I’m comfortable colouring with them and because I have a decent range of colours. I also ditched the idea of having a light source and using 2 maybe 3 shades coloured them in . I love how it turned out!
I started by stamping and die-cutting the Bella Flora flowers on blending card (Copic Friendly cardstock). I actually coloured the flowers last but they were needed to shape the sentiment on the card. I placed the die-cuts on my card front and shapes the sentiment around the flower design. I then stamped the sentiment using black ink and coloured the flowers with my Copic Markers (G03, G05, G07/YG06,YG07/V12, V15, V17/RV14, RV17, RV19). I then adhered these to my card front and added some simple stitched lines. I was going to trim the edges off but I liked how the flowers came off the card…so I left it as it. I then embellished the card with sequins and a twine bow. I adhered the card to a side folding card base. NOTE: Card size is 5 inch by 7 inch.
Thanks for stopping by! I’m sticking to a floral/spring theme this month…so if you want more flower Ink Road Stamp inspiration check out my previous card – here. More floral inspiration to come…
