Hello all my crafty friends! Have you made any slimline cards yet?! I’m in love with them! They’re so different from what I’m used to that it feels like I have to use my creativity to come up with a layout!

The first thing I need to do is cut down a piece of white cardstock to 3.5″x8.5″. Now, I’m going to create a background that sort of “breaks up” the white and creates little mini scenes. I’m using Tattered Rose distress ink and a blender brush. This “stencil” of sorts that I am using is a scrap piece of paper. I just wanted the look of hills and it was laying on my desk. I could’ve just used scissors with a piece of scrap cardstock and made my own “hill” stencil as well. I also flipped it over and used the reverse side as well! If that’s not recycling, I don’t know what is!

Now, I’m stamping my cute critters from the Lucy Happy Mail stamp set.

I’m going to color them in with my Copic markers.
To create my black sentiment strips, I’m using black cardstock with white embossing powder. When I’m finished heat embossing, I’m using scissors to cut them into little banners.

I used 3D foam squares to adhere my stamped images and banners! I also added a few Water Bubbles…. And voila! All done!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
XOXO, Amanda
